Verdigris
The garden, entitled Verdigris, was designed around a slate paved area that was surrounded by raised beds constructed of timber and aged copper sheets. The raised beds were filled with plants that softened the geometric shapes and complemented the colours of the timber, copper and slate. The garden was built to showcase how much can be achieved in a limited space (the garden was 5 metres by 4 metres) and to highlight the beauty that is all around us in nature, both in plants as well as in hard landscaping materials.
